My Top Foundations!

Now, who wants flawless foundation that matches your skin tone, blends effortlessly, is great coverage for all occasions and of course stays all day. I know I do!

But I’m also going to say that in the past I was very scared to try new foundations because I felt like I’d really found my ride or die drugstore foundation. But since I’ve expanded my collection and tried a few high-end brands and other drugstore brands I can truly say I’ve found my top favourites for my skin.

From the age of 14 I really got into watching Youtube videos and experimenting with makeup and skincare and got really passionate about it which led me to pursue my diploma of beauty therapy through Tafe. This taught me a lot about different skin types and how to cater for them, what they need to strive and keep clear and looking healthy and much more.

My skin used to be normal to combination, with a slightly oily nose which led me to blackheads and few breakouts. It has always been more on the sensitive side if anything and also slightly dry in the fact it reacted very well with oil cleansers rather than foaming ones. However, with hormonal changes, diet changes, skincare changes over the years my skin has changed and I get very bad hormonal breakouts and my skin is more unpredictable now.

Hence why I’ve ventured out for more skincare and makeup options to help my skin look its best even when it has its bad days.

So without further ado, here are my top foundations I’ve discovered for my skin.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation

This foundation is a great all-rounder, it stays all day long and is a beautiful medium coverage which can be built up to full coverage very easily. And don’t start me on the amount of shades available! I am so happy to say there are 58 shades in this foundation, with warm, cool and neutral bases making it so easy to find the right shade that perfectly suits anyone.

Revlon Colorstay 24Hr Foundation for Combination/Oily Skin

This is a beautiful medium coverage, natural looking foundation available from most chemists and pharmacies and even supermarkets and Targets, etc. It is super affordable and when on sale even better. With 24 shades, oil-free technology, and SPF 20 making it great for protecting your skin, and not clogging your pores.

Jouer Essential High Coverage Creme Foundation

This is my newest favourite foundation that I discovered because I absolutely love love love their concealer! Which by the way, I found from a Kathleen Lights favourites Youtube video and wanted to try something new when buying from Sephora on my American holiday. This foundation is so full-coverage with the tiniest amount possible, I can’t even explain how far a little bit goes. It cancels out any redness, goes on silky smooth, hydrates the skin and is so lightweight. So beautiful!

Loreal True Match Liquid Foundation

In shades ranging from cool, neutral and warm tones, this foundation is super-blendable and matches every skin tone. It leaves a perfect dewy finish on the skin, masking imperfections, and hydrates the skin effortlessly. Great for everyday wear.

Let me know your favourite foundations and why below! I’d love to try more out and love to hear your feedback.
